Eyes

Your eyes remind me of butterflies,
fluttering in the air.
They sing lullabies, happy and sad.
Sometimes they smile,
tell me they care
'cause thoughts travel to me
from the flickers in your eyes.
Zap me into reality,
making such a beautiful sound.
They don't hurt,
only listen, silently, to the sounds around before
it turns to night.

Her eyes remind me of moths,
rushing through the night
They scream taunts of horror and rage.
Sometimes they smile,
tell me they hate.
It feels good to not care, just
shoot these emotions into my soul.
Zap me into reality,
making such a fearful sound.
But they hurt,
memories translated into your eyes
crying all night.
